Sorted out the exhaust rattle and blowing. One of the centre section joints had become quite loose. Tightened it up and it immediately solved the issue. Used some of the alloy plate and cut and formed it into a heat shield on the rear bumper where the tailpipes are. A past exhaust had melted a good hole in the bumper and the current Magnex is doing a good job of discolouring the paint.
I trimmed the melted plastic from the damaged section and made the plate wide enough to cover it up. Created a backing plate to clamp over the damaged area too. Pleased with the result, but I know from experience that hot exhausts destroy things, so we’ll see how this bears up.

Looked at the faulty speaker too. Not sure what the cause is, the wiring into the back of the head unit isn’t amazing, but it all seems connected and in place. Took the speaker out of the door, but had no real way to test it without swapping it with the one from the other door at which point I stopped because they’re pop rivited in. I don’t have the rivet gun at the moment and I’ve run out of suitable self tapping screws so there was no way of putting it back together if I’d pressed on.
