Spigots

To fit the Ford fitment OZ alloys to the Peugeot 106 you need reducer wheel spigots. Failing to do this means the wheel wont sit evenly (read centrally) on the hub and will induce bearing destroying vibration at speed. The centre bore on 106s is 65.1mm diameter. After a bit of research via Google I reckoned that the Fords were a 67.1mm diameter so sent off for five of these spacer spigots.

So they turned up and I tried them out. The issue with them is that the four plastic tabs that are designed to click into the hub just don’t fit. I cut the tabs off one of the spigots, but then it fits loosely in the hub with about a 1mm gap. Further research revealed that OZ made their own wheel fitting rings, which have a metal circlip that clips into a groove in the alloys. Now all I need to do is find some.
