A set of fixed window seals have arrived for the Rallye rear quarter windows. I picked these up for a bargain price from another owner on the Rallye Register and have been looking out for a set for a while.
I’m going to polycarb the side windows and the rear quarters are currently the opening standard type. The fixed seals are known to be heavier than the opening window seals, but the glass is curved and difficult to replicate in polycarbonate, so this is the generally accepted best approach to the upgrade. The weight saving is still decent in making the change.
Finally I’ve sourced the console that contains the set of buttons for the hazzard lights and heated rear screen and a blank. This is to tidy up the standard dash, where a previous owner had put in a red LED light to serve as a visual deterrent and sign for the non existing alarm system that was in the car when I bought it.
