Progress

After several days of faffing, several weeks of planning and having had some parts for over a month, the washer jets are now being fed from a Peugeot 205 washer bottle mounted in the passenger side rear quarter.

I had a complete nightmare with my 205 washer bottle! First of all when I filled it with water it turned out it had split along the join at it’s base so the water started dripping out straight away. The black silicon sealant came out for that and has made it water tight again. Then it turned out the pump had siezed, so I had to strip it down and used the dremel to clean off the rust and sandpaper to get the brass contacts nice and shiny. It goes like stink now!

I’ve also been working on stripping out redundant wiring from the looms as I do such things. I’ve taken out about half a kilo of things so far and there’s a lot more to come…
