All the parts I’d been waiting for turned up yesterday, so last night started taking the car apart (even more). It’s already sitting on axle stands with no front wheels or arch liners, but fairly quickly it had no front bumper and shortly afterwards no radiator or coolant pipes. Getting the exhaust manifold off didn’t prove too difficult, but one of the studs was stuck in the head and snapped off. There was enough thread to try and have a go at shifting it with two nuts locked against each other, but the threads stripped so in the end I had to drill it out and re-tap it.
Fitted the manifold studs, wrapped the manifold and have reached part way through repainting the upper part of the oil dipstick holder. Fitted the Samco coolant hoses, feels like some good progress has been made.
