Detour

So the initial plan was to put the car all back together for the weekend, but then things panned out in a different direction which bought me some more time. I’ve used it to take the slam panel off and I’m midway through repainting it now having POR15’d any areas that were showing rust. In all it was in good condition, but whilst I had the front end of the car disassembled it made sense to get it done.

I really need to get the engine out and do the whole engine bay as there are a few areas that need attention and the areas that I did last year on the inner wings are starting to rust through again. I wish I’d discovered POR earlier, but then the paint job on them wasn’t mega either. A job for next winter I think, hopefully by then I’ll be able to get my hands on an engine crane too.
