A few updates from the last few days…
Friday: Thanks to a fellow 106 Rallye Register member who is breaking a car, I now have a pair of doors, a washer pump (of unknown working property) and some other bits and pieces. Hopefully get a big push on this over the weekend to finish it.
Saturday: Water pump did work and is now fitted. Replaced the interior light fixture and bulb and have that working too. Replaced the passenger door – panel gaps need a bit of fettling but it is a million times better with a door without all the dents and bent bits!
Sunday: Fitted a new boot light switch and repaired the loom by splicing the appropriate connector back on from my spare wiring. It was just two bare wires before! Took the heat shield off the exhaust tunnel for about the sixth time. Quickshift off again. Tack welded the bushes onto the gear lever top and bottom. They’re not going to come loose now! Back on the deck and ready for the MOT tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
