Update

So bit of progress in the last month… moving further back under the car I didn’t like the look of this:

So chopped it out…

Then decided that the bottom of the box section also needed to be repaired, so chopped that and welded in a repair section.

Finally finished the welding off tonight.

Getting rather tired of working under the car and getting burned by weld splatter. Will be glad to move onto easier parts of the car to work on.

Fair few other significant changes underway too. The EPAS steering column is finally back from the machine shop and now just needs handing over to our forum TIG expert to finish it off. Will post some pictures up when I get a chance.

Decided that it wasn’t worth putting a diff in the MA box in the long run, so I’ve bought Danny’s Quaife’d BE setup which was an utter bargain so will be selling my S2 Rallye box and associated bits that are now surplus to requirements.
