Same rear arch, more adventures in crust. It’s the car that keeps giving. Chased the rust and discovered moisture had risen between the rear panels from the seam edge and rotted from the inside out. End of the sill had gone too and the bottom corner of the arch.

I cut one piece out to template up the first repair section and then realised the boot floor that looked good is shot from the underside so will need a 3cm strip replacing too before I can start putting a bit of strength back in. That in fairness is normal in the three boot edge repairs I have done on other cars. After reaching this point I went in and ordered a power file, I reckon it’ll get baptised soon.

In prep, the back half of the car is stripped out now. I discovered that the OEM slider on the passenger seat is jammed (tunnel side) and I can’t get it to move with any amount of brute force effort. As it’s a bugger to get at the mechanism I gave up and will need to ponder that one.
