Tidying

Coilovers are nearly finished, but as I have some work to do I chucked the standard shocks off the GTI on. So this is what I am working with – a very dirty 106 Rallye!

I’ve done some repainting of the door shuts and around the rear quarter windows transforming them from this:

To this:

I’ll refit the rear quarter windows and seals next. Not sure what to do next on the doors may go to electric windows.

In the interior I think the cage mounts and seat bars need to go. I am not liking the quality of the mounts. I’m thinking that all that seam sealer is hiding bad things.

Seat rails have no crush inserts and I think the box section in quite thin wall stuff:

Needs some tidying up

Looks worse than it is

It came pre-cut!

Needs a bit of welding 🙄
