Kept this plan low key so far, but will need to get the angle grinder out again soon as I've had a recent arrival. The container is here... Big metal box Nice details...
Rack Finished
The beauty of a good finished conversion is all in the details. Steering rack finished and ready to fit when I get around to the rebuild.
Throttle Bodies Test Fitted
Good bit progress today. Fitted the inlet manifold and throttle bodies to the head and mocked up the trumpets to show the lack of clearance. Measured up and then craned the engine out so I could get busy with the angle grinder. Whilst it was out thought that I would take a photo of the... Continue Reading →

Quick Rack Painted
Took 3 coats of paint but casing is ready. JB Weld epoxy has arrived, but I took a guess when I was at work on the size of the domed nut that would be needed to seal off the end of the pinion and was a size out. Replacement and suitably sized unit on the... Continue Reading →
Quick Rack
Started work again in the 16v again recently. The steering rack is completely stripped down. It just needs cleaning up and degreasing and then I will get the alloy casing painted up. After that put it all back together with the Quaife innards. Well said I would do this about a month ago, but just... Continue Reading →
Driving Again

Car is going really well, didn't miss a beat. Few little things to take care of like a new rear... Continue Reading →
8v Rolling
Had the 8v out for a clean today and it was left out while I reorganised some of the garage interior. Unfortunately it rained and when I went to bring the car back in I found the interior a bit wet. The source was the aerial on the roof which would explain why the interior... Continue Reading →
Wheels Painted
Dropped some wheels off for refinishing at The Wheel Specialist in Manchester last weekend and picked them up first thing this morning. Here are the OZ Superleggeras - I like them a lot! These wheels were one of the first upgrades I bought for the 16v car and they have hardly ever been used. The... Continue Reading →
8v VOSA Certified
New compensator arrived on Tuesday with an adjustment screw. The new spring that the adjustment screw threads into is on a long back order from Peugeot. Painted the body of the compensator up to give it some rust protection and then took off the old one. The two M12 unions came off okay once the... Continue Reading →
