All finished today on the chassis rig. It needs a coat of paint at some point, but I've put it straight into service. Rig is almost done. Just need to cut the beam mountings to the right length and add a few more welds here and there. Should get the shell mounted on it on Saturday. May try and get some better pics outside. Bit of triangulation
Made a bit of progress on the rig tonight but not as much as I had hoped as I ended up getting side-tracked.

Engine block all painted up. Next job is to drain the oil and then repaint the sump and fit the baffle.
A few months ago I picked up some 3mm steel brackets that were surplus from a refurbishment of our office space. I think that they're used to mount door closure mechanisms or something similar. Near side chassis rail repairs complete. Need to stock up on a few supplies before further welding.
Managed a few hours in the garage over the last week. Primed the chassis rail gusset, cleaned, treated and primed the interior of the rail and today welded the gusset in.
