One of the things that I had on the to do list was chopping out the standard rear towing eye and repairing the rear member is is attached to. In my first rounds of work on the car it was evident that the panel was rotten, but I didn't have the expertise to tackle it.... Continue Reading →
Positioning
Another job ticked off the list as the seat mountings have now been adjusted on the seat rails - positioned, drilled, compression tube welded in, ground down and primed. EPAS is now ready to be chopped and have the Lifeline boss welded on, which means we have a steering position at last.
Progress in the Bay

OMP Wheel Detailing
White on clear TZ tapes came through for the Brother label writer so I was able to have a play around with some of the settings tonight to do some labels for the carbon panel. Worked out okay in the end.

Then there's the repairs on the section where it joins onto the chassis rail, but the chassis rail shouldn't need any work. I also managed to pick... Continue Reading →
Rallye Trackday
Had an ace day at the Practical Performance Car Show and the track session was a good bit of fun. Great to put a few faces to names from the 106 Rallye Register and see some of the cars in the metal. We had the largest owners' club stand as far as I could make... Continue Reading →
