The Rallye is gone now so I can get to work on this car. Cleaned the top of one of the wishbone mounts today, I'll leave you to guess which is which. Gives you an idea of how dirty the rest of the bay is:
Rallye Rear Towing Eye
One of the things that I had on the to do list was chopping out the standard rear towing eye and repairing the rear member is is attached to. In my first rounds of work on the car it was evident that the panel was rotten, but I didn't have the expertise to tackle it.... Continue Reading →
Engine Plans
My thinking is that a tuned up S1600 should be enough especially in a car this light. My current engine is a tuned C2R2 engine, so I just need to work how to mount it. I managed to get these relatively easily but the other parts of the TU5JP4 Citroen C2R2 Max Engine mount are... Continue Reading →
Revival
Thread revival time. K16 PUG left Bic and came into my care yesterday. At the time rather than start a new thread on some of the forums, I intended to keep them going, sharing the updates from here. Well that was the plan, time permitting. More updates once I come to terms with things. First... Continue Reading →
Bye Bye PNKy
Collected today on a flatbed and about to set off up to Peterhead... It's been fun.
Modified Spare Wheel Carrier
On the last drive the back end was very noisy but it only became apparent what it was when I took the photos yesterday and had a look underneath. I had not secured the spare wheel properly. Fixed it now. https://youtu.be/l8NbQafIq-Y
Polishing

Polishing Commences
The Dodo Juice orbital polisher I bought turned up today so I cracked out the Megs polish and pads that came from Clean your Car last week and got to work. Not finished yet, but I think it will look a bit better once done
Project Car Update
Previously when I modified the scuttle for the AX wiper setup it was pointed out that this might create a drainage issue as it would just leave the wiper motor sitting in water. Of course first time I washed the car this point was proven. Now modified with drainage positioned so that it clears the... Continue Reading →
Rallye For Sale
MOT was fine, took the car in hot and it was very quiet first thing in the morning. Paddy who runs the local garage and test station has a lot of Irish pals who drop in - one brought their Irish registered Ford F350 Super Duty in for testing - those are flipping enormous pickups.... Peugeot 106 Rallye S2 8v Update
Well my son was keen to help today so we headed out this afternoon to the garage. I had polished the bumper up in the week and fitted it on. I'll give it another polish when my new orbital polisher turns up. With that done, drove the car outside and took both front wheels off... Continue Reading →
