Picked up the gearbox from SWR Motorsport in the week, it’s been with them getting some trick work done. This included having to wait for Sadev in France to machine up some particular components.
The box is a former Renault Cup Car box. Several of the gearbox mounts had stripped threads so they’ve all been repaired. Those cup cars never had oil coolers fitted (and the gearsets showed signs of overheating) so I had the gearbox casing drilled and tapped so it’d take the cooler setup I have. The box has been rebuilt fully. All new ratios and a full service.
New bellhousing adapter plate made up to suit the Harry Hockley mount. So this is all good to go. There were a few other trick bits done like a new driveshaft carrier for the back of the engine too.
