Trimmed the carbon spare wheel tray to follow the curve in the back of the car. Did this with the boot panel in the car because the vertical upward face also needs to be taken into account whilst trimming. Whilst it was in the car, I drilled up from underneath to put the fixings in. This was a lot easier to get right whilst the boot floor can be taken in and out, mainly because the two captive nuts for the bolts in the top part are not going to be accessible once the floor is welded in as they are over the rear cross member.
Spent a bunch of time prepping for welding the floor back in. Drilling out old spot welds and making sure everything was lined up right. Just going to get some self tappers for making sure it pulls nice and tight in the areas where it can’t be clamped.
