Rear Inner Arch Repairs

Slowly working on putting repairs back in. The arch vents here were cleaned out and treated with Jenolite rust remover and primed up on both sides. Working on the drivers side at the moment because this is the better side. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

Towards the front of the arch there was rust creep all around to the panel joint so ended up cutting out quite a lot.

Then started to patch back in…

Both inner and outer layers of steel replaced.

In the above photo you can see where there must have been a roll cage fitted at some point to the back of the rear seat hollow. This was full of filler and on the underside was a lapped plate covered in silicon sealant.

All chopped out and properly butted welded in now. Same piece on the passenger side next!
